10. Settings and Address Value Reference
This chapter is a reference for looking up wallboard settings and address values.
Settings Panel
Click Settings (gear) at the top right of the screen to open it. If the settings panel is taller than the screen, it is shown in two columns. The values you select are stored in that browser (chapter 9).
Layout
| Item | Values | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen split | 1 · 2 · 3 · 4 · 6 · 8 · 12 · 16 | 1 | Some values cannot be selected, depending on the screen size and the number of groups (chapter 6) |
| View | Application · Servers | Depends on the screen where you clicked the TV icon | Changes all tiles at once. If tiles use a mix of views, both buttons appear off |
| Sidebar | Overview · Details · None | Overview | What to show in the sidebars on the left and right of an application tile. Details does not split the screen and uses 1 tile |
| Sidebar position | Fit · Top · Bottom | Fit | Where the sidebar cards are placed |
| Login Users | Show · Hide | Show | The login users card in the left sidebar |
Alert thresholds (application tiles)
| Item | Range | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warning at | 10 to 500, in steps of 10 | 30 | Amber when delayed transactions reach this count or more |
| Critical at | 10 to 500, in steps of 10 | 50 | Red when delayed transactions reach this count or more |
When you raise or lower one, the other moves with it, so Warning never goes above Critical.
Server thresholds (only when there is a server tile)
| Metric | Warning default | Critical default |
|---|---|---|
| CPU % | 80 | 90 |
| MEM % | 90 | 95 |
| DISK % (highest value among partitions) | 85 | 95 |
Adjust from 5 to 100 in steps of 5. If you set them with sysThr in the address, these buttons are locked.
Alert band
| Item | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Alert band | Off · Rotate (next item every 6 seconds) · Scroll | Scroll |
| Levels | Critical · Critical + Warning | Critical + Warning |
The small text next to the row is the event reception status (chapter 8).
Appearance
| Item | Values | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Center number | Delayed · Active | Delayed | Either way, the color is decided by the delayed count |
| Chart color | One of the color presets | The first color | The color of the sidebar charts |
| Transaction balls | Show or not · size (S · M · L) · color | Show, M | The animation of requests flying in. Turned off automatically at 6 splits or more |
| Center view | Seven heroes (chapter 5) | Core Reactor for application tiles, Hive for server tiles | You can also change only one tile with the cycle arrow button next to the tile title |
If the screen has only server tiles, the rows used only by application tiles (Sidebar, Sidebar position, Login Users, Alert thresholds, Center number, Chart color, Transaction balls) are not shown.
Reset to defaults
Reset to defaults at the bottom of the settings panel returns the following items to their defaults.
- Reset: Alert thresholds · Server thresholds · Alert band · Levels · Center number · Chart color · Transaction balls · hero · Sidebar position (Fit) · Login Users (Show)
- Kept as is: Screen split · View · Sidebar · group placement per tile. Losing a layout you have set up would be a problem.
- Server thresholds set in the address (
sysThr) are not reset.

Values You Can Add to the Address
Address values take priority over saved settings and are not stored in the browser. Join multiple
values with &.
| Value | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
split=N | Number of tiles. One of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16. A value not in this list changes to the nearest smaller value | split=4 |
view=app · view=sys | All tiles in Application view / Server view | view=sys |
group=<group name> | The group to show when there is 1 tile | group=order |
groups=<value1,value2,…> · g=<value1,value2,…> | Target per tile. Separate with commas and write them in tile order. g is a short name for groups | g=order,payment |
hero=<name> | Hero for all tiles | hero=pulsecore |
heroes=<name1,name2,…> | Heroes in tile order | heroes=orb,gate |
sysThr=<CPU warning/critical>,<MEM warning/critical>,<DISK warning/critical> | Server thresholds. You must give all three | sysThr=80/90,90/95,85/95 |
ticker=off · ticker=flip · ticker=crawl | Alert band Off / Rotate / Scroll | ticker=flip |
Target Values per Tile
If you add a prefix to a value in groups (g), that tile becomes a server tile. A name without a prefix
follows the view value.
| Value | What the tile shows |
|---|---|
<name> | An application group (application tile) or a server group (server tile) |
appg:<name> | In a server tile, the servers of that application group |
host:<IP> | A single server |
hosts:<scope> | Server assignment. The scope is 전체 (all servers) or a server group name |
Hero Names
| Address value | Name |
|---|---|
orb | Core Reactor |
gate | Orbital Gate |
pulse | Pulse Field |
flood | Flood Field |
pulsecore | Pulse Core |
heartbeat | Heartbeat |
hive | Hive (server tiles only) |
Examples
| What you want | Value to add after the address |
|---|---|
A single order group with Pulse Core | ?group=order&hero=pulsecore |
| Four groups in a 4 split, with the alert band set to Rotate | ?split=4&g=order,payment,member,search&ticker=flip |
The server group payment and one server side by side | ?view=sys&split=2&g=payment,host:10.0.0.21 |
| Lower thresholds in Server view | ?view=sys&sysThr=70/85,80/90,80/90 |
Fixed Numeric Behavior
| Behavior | Value |
|---|---|
| Color recovery delay | 6 seconds (worsening is immediate) |
| Connection check signal | Sent by the APM server every 30 seconds; treated as lost after 90 seconds without it |
| LIVE indicator amber | The connection is open but no values have arrived for more than 10 seconds |
| Reconnection interval | Increases from 1 second up to 30 seconds |
| Reloading server group settings | Every 10 minutes |
| Server metric updates | Every 10 seconds |
| How long one alert band item stays | 1 minute after the last occurrence |
| Alert band Rotate interval | 6 seconds |
| Tile size at which the sidebar folds | 1,000px wide or less, or 560px high or less (from 2 splits at 1080p and 8 splits at 4K) |
| Split at which transaction balls turn off | 6 splits or more |
| Size at which a tile becomes a server mini tile | When the tile is smaller than 460×360 |
| Maximum split by resolution | 4K 16 · QHD 12 · 1080p 8 (1080p also allows 16 when all tiles are server tiles) |
